In social life, especially in Indonesia, there are several commonly practised ways to greet each other. At times, the different methods of greeting, more or less, also present an awkward space for some people. Even when this problem has not found a solution, the pandemic has made greeting methods become more confusing many times over.

“The New Way of Greetings” (Tegur Sapa Baru) campaign is an attempt in the form of a series of three instructional videos showing a new language to replace handshakes, cipika-cipiki, and salim. What new language can express care and respect while keeping one another clean while reducing awkward spaces? Or is it even more awkward? Will we find a new, better method of greeting now? Is it true that we will become better figures after the pandemic has passed?
