
Bob Edrian Triadi
Bob Edrian is a freelance art curator and writer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. His research focuses on the development of media art and sound practices in the arts. His recent curatorial projects include Universal Iteration (2021-2023), Festival Komunitas Seni Media (2024), and Hybrid Hope: Shamanism & Technology (2024), Biennale Jogja (2025). Most recently, he was the Project Director of IndoArtNow from 2023 to 2024.
He was awarded the SSAS Curatorial Research Grant 2016 funded by Selasar Sunaryo Art Space and Sidharta Aboejono Martoredjo (SAM) Fund for Arts and Ecology. He was also selected as a participant in Kelas Penulisan dan Kuratorial Seni Rupa by Jakarta Arts Council and Ruangrupa in Jakarta (2016), Para Site Workshops for Emerging Art Professionals in Hong Kong (2018), and CULTIVATE: Professional Development for Curators and Art Managers by in-tangible institute in Bangkok (2024).
His written works have been published in The 4th International Symposium for Media Art: Open Media Culture – Collaborations, Networks, Exchange (2020) published by The Japan Foundation Asia Center and NTT InterCommunication Center (ICC), Tokyo; The Bloomsbury Handbook of Sound Art (2020) published by Bloomsbury Publishing, London; and the ASEAN-KOREA Cultural and Creative Sectors Research (2023) published by ASEAN-KOREA Partnership Project for Innovative Culture, Seoul.
Bob was named one of Apollo’s 2022 ’40 Under 40 Asia Pacific Thinkers’ by Apollo: The International Art Magazine.
