Alia Swastika - Residency at the Delfina Foundation
Alia Swastika was a resident at Delfina Foundation from 18/01/2016 — 03/04/2016. Events that were held during her time as curator resident are:
EXHIBITION HISTORIES: STAGING INDONESIAN ART IN EUROPEAN CONTEXTS (Friday, 26 February 2016)
Curatorial resident Alia Swastika (Indonesia) presents material from the Indonesian Visual Art Archive (IVAA), which she has recently been working with. This will include film-interview and print material and provide the basis for a discussion about the ‘internationalisation’ of Indonesian art, using exhibition histories as a starting point. Her focus is the power of agency in the process of defining national identity, and how globalisation changes ideas of cultural exchange.
INDONESIAN VISUAL ART ARCHIVE (26/02/2016 – 01/03/2016)
