Jampi Tinampi (Jampi= prayer, Tinampi= received), is a story discovered by Agan when researching for this project. Exploring how knowledge of jamu-making saved a family of survivors from the stigma of being part of PKI and accepted as part of society.
This short film tells the story of Tri, a jamu vendor form Wonosari who inherited the knowledge of jamu-making that her mother learned during custody. For Tri, jamu-making becomes more than just a practice to preserve tradition or just a way to make a living. Through the process of learning jamu-making and by example of her mother, Tri is motivated by a mission to live a life that benefits others, even when some people might look at her condescendingly.
