Natasha Tontey’s participation in GHOST;2565 features two of her works, The Epoch Mapalucene (2021) and Garden Amidst the Flame (2022). The works are part of an artistic collaboration program between Auto Italia in London and KUNCI in Yogyakarta. It aims to develop a broader international context for Natasha Tontey’s research in North Sulawesi and expand the cultural networks created through this collaboration. In recent years, she has been exploring Minahasa cosmology; an ancestral worldview of the indigenous people of North Sulawesi that brings together cultural, astrological, sociological and environmental studies.
