Plewo Doi comes from the Sikka language which means to introduce oneself. In line with this title, the project is intended to introduce the art of Sikka weaving and natural dyeing to the wider community. For this project, Noesa connected with 22 craftsmen from Maumere, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara to display their work and share their knowledge about Sikka Ikat weaving and natural dyeing. In May 2015, alongside exhibition and a series of public programming in Dia.lo.gue Artspace, various workshops were also held at Museum Tekstil Jakarta (Jakarta Textile Museum) taught by expert craftsmen from Maumere sharing their skills in traditional spinning, ikat, weaving, and dyeing.
Plewo Doi and its series of events is hoped to have introduced, taught, and provided opportunities for all levels of society to participate in efforts to preserve local culture, especially the manufacturing of woven fabrics and natural coloring.
